You need to install and then activate the isfrontpage plug-in: http://www.wp-plugins-db.org/plugin/isfrontpage/

Although, replying as I am several months later you have probably either fixed it or gone mad with trying.

I had a little trouble with this one. Here is the error message:

I am trying to set up a new website using your theme. It’s really easy to use an configure. The only problem I have is that the news section is displayed in the main on the left hand side of the page. I am using an extra category “Aktuelles” (id=5. When I enter the id number in the option menu the section “Aktuelles” is displayed above my main content on the start page. How do I manage to show the news section on the right hand side of the page? Is there any widget I can use? Can I use widgets at all when the News-section is displayed on the right hand side?
